At today's close, Apple has hit an all time high value and topped the value of any another company in history. Quite the boomerang and the iPhone5 is not due for another 3 weeks.Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289488258571094027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-40395193344708756402011-12-31T16:03:42.210-07:002011-12-31T16:03:42.210-07:00Good article - spot on as always Mark!Good article - spot on as always Mark!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-38319031279665204282011-04-12T20:11:14.961-07:002011-04-12T20:11:14.961-07:00More proof that consumers like QR codes including ...More proof that consumers like QR codes including using them for commerce.

http://www.marketingpilgrim.com/2011/04/the-majority-rules-qr-codes-are-memorable.htmlMark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289488258571094027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-23723909377991705162011-04-12T20:04:12.289-07:002011-04-12T20:04:12.289-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289488258571094027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-83865108740828883392011-03-26T21:43:19.195-07:002011-03-26T21:43:19.195-07:00Thank you sir.Thank you sir.Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289488258571094027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-38501771882528256312011-03-26T20:01:24.206-07:002011-03-26T20:01:24.206-07:00As usual Mark, you summed it up pretty spot on.As usual Mark, you summed it up pretty spot on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-59134432391213900062011-03-22T18:38:36.275-07:002011-03-22T18:38:36.275-07:00I think it comes down to what you are doing, when ...I think it comes down to what you are doing, when and where... I find myself reading the news, checking the weather, looking up sport stats, movies, etc. on my phone (Droid). It is easier than a laptop and I can do simple tasks quickly.

When we downsized, I purchased a nook in an effort to rid the house of books.

There are no desktops in the house...using laptops for power use and work while traveling.

All of these changes occurred in the last 18 months. And I am already thinking about Motorola Xoom and a Droid Bionic as I seek the best combination of devices which contribute to my wired world.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09707437845972284118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-90175193867501045102011-02-27T21:42:41.901-07:002011-02-27T21:42:41.901-07:00Apple is certainly working on NFC but it is a broa...Apple is certainly working on NFC but it is a broadcast of sensitive data, although encrypted, it is still sensitive. All this investment when a lower tech but extremely user-friendly solution is 90% in place already. Why would IBM and NCR allow Apple to set this agenda when they could be supplying the same service with a smaller investment, bigger ROI and less expense to the merchants?Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289488258571094027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-18909533646921882802011-02-27T07:21:03.562-07:002011-02-27T07:21:03.562-07:00What about NFC? Customers were encourage to watch their car being serviced in a comfortable lounge. Everything was also viewable via the web through web cams in the garage. The service area was spotless. Your Ferrari never needed to leave your sight. Too extreme? Not really. All it took was a realization that customers care about their cars. Ferrari owners may care more but that does not mean the MB, BMW or Lexus owner cares any less.

Saturn was very innovative in its service delivery model until GM was forced to impose "old rules" on the new model. We've seen how that turned out.

What unique customer service models have you seen?Mark Ryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01289488258571094027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-11943289386896270412010-04-16T11:55:23.236-07:002010-04-16T11:55:23.236-07:00Nice post. I especially liked your comment, "As a consumer, when I am given the tools that give me the option to design what I hear when I call, when I am given the option to select who helps me if I need a resource, when I am given the option to decide what method is to be used to reach me for various types of information, when I can monitor the status to my requests without 3rd party assistance, then I will agree that the customer is front and center in the mind of the business." The companies that can deliver on this promise will be successful through this downturn and thrive after the the recovery.Charlie Isaacshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12333586370875186001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9307783.post-16560757462414190222010-04-13T18:14:09.897-07:002010-04-13T18:14:09.897-07:00Interesting thoughts, a sort of public health inde...Interesting thoughts, a sort of public health index then?
